Associated Power and Light was formed in 1984 and is based in the industrial suburb of Lilianton. Associated Power and Light is a privately owned company which gives us the flexibility to offer our customers personalised service. Our products are designed around our customer's requirements and often incorporate features proposed by our customer's.

Associated Power and Light Accumulator
The Associated Power and Light Accumulator is a no-frills product made from proven materials and tested technology. Whilst being conservative in design it nevertheless incorporates many advanced features.
The accumulator features include:
16 Ampere hour capacity
Solid state polyswitch intercell connector for protection against short circuit
Low maintenance - topping up every four months
Polycarbonate box and cover - tough, light weight and proven
Complete interchangeability - the winner battery accommodates Willard and FNB top cover
Battery is SABS tested and GME approved
Long life - with reasonable care a useful life of three years is obtained.

Manufactured from tough polycarbonate and proven throughout the South African mining industry, the hand lamp is also the perfect torch for hunting, fishing, camping or recreational use.
The powerful halogen bulb throws a 200m beam, and power to the light is available for 12-14 hours between charges. The replaceable battery has a lifespan of four years.
The hand lamp comes complete with a battery charger and instructions.
Associated Power and Light Locolites have been designed and manufactured as an alternative to existing cast aluminum types.
Being fabricated from grade 430 stainless steel they are fully protected against all corrosive liquids including acids and mine water.
They can also be repaired and welded when damaged, and will not crack when dropped.
Better light output - The 1 amp halogen bulb covers more than twice the distance of the old 2 amp Locolite bulb
Reduced weight - the Locolites are 2, 5kg lighter in weight as they only require one 16 ampere hour battery
Reduced maintenance - all stainless steel construction with tamperproof lock, and a single battery (Any battery will fit)
Same size - fits existing hopper brackets
Tested - SABS tested and GME approved. Battery and box each have six months guarantee
Protected - Battery fitted with a polyswitch as protection against short circuit

102 Type charge Frame
The Associated Power and Light 102 type stainless steel charging frame has been developed to provide the mining industry with a modern 'state of the art' piece of essential equipment.
It is fully interchangeable with older wooden types and has the following features:
Fireproof and rotproof - made entirely from South African stainless steel.
Reduced maintenance - easy to clean, bolted assembly with hinged headpiece panel.
Interchangeability- frame is exactly the same size as older wooden units and charging components are fully interchangeable.
Easier cap lamp fitment - headpieces are staggered for easier fitment, batteries have compartments.
Better continuity - positive connections are via fully insulated busbars, negative is through the steel.
More protection - a polyswitch is fitted to each charging point for short-circuit protection.
Advanced charge indication - via red and green LEDs fitted to each charging point, red - on charge, green - charge complete.
Guaranteed - full twelve month warranty.
Proven - over 1500 frames in use throughout the mining industry.
